ARCUS Solution

Nowadays banks more and more often face the necessity of retail trading business automation. The market of manufacturers of the equipment and cash software products is very various, therefore when ARCUS software was developed, our priority was to create the technical decision which provides pin-pads’ interaction with the automated workplace (AWP) of the cashier and allows to adapt flexibly to the features of cash software.

The Solution of ARCOM group - ARCUS, is a combination of the hardware-software means, allowing providing reception of cashless payments on cash registers by international and local bank cards, including cards of EMV standard and contactless cards.

The software of ARCUS Solution is delivered as executed or library modules:

  • EMV application for pin-pad PAP (Pin-pad Application).
    PAP completely controls the process of operations performance:
    • Dialogue with the cashier and the client,
    • Interaction with processing,
    • Preparation of cheques,
    • etc. the same way as it is done by usual POS application.
    Parameterization and updated software loading is provided by remote management system TMS.
  • Cash application/library CAP (Cash register Application).
    Module CAP is a set of realizations of one problem for different suppliers of an automated workplace of cash desk and is responsible for:
    • Support of the protocol of exchange with pin-pad through:
      1. RS232, USB,
      2. Ethernet,
      providing controlling of CAP application by a pin-pad;
    • Transparent data transmission between pin-pad and processing;
    • Interaction pin-pads’ application with the cashier;
    • Integration from an automated workplace of the cashier.
  • Thanks to UNICAPT 32™ system both POS and PIN-pads are managed by the same TMS manager.
    TMS is responsible for:
    • Pin-pad application configuration;
    • Parameters’ transfer;
    • Updated applications’ transfer;
    • Reception of the data, sent by pin-pad.
    • ÀÐCÎÌ uses a single control and configuration system as for pin-pad, connected to cash register, so for POS terminals. In pin-pads’ application automatic and manual modes of interaction with TMS is provided.

Vivid advantage of ARCUS towards its competitors is an independence of business logic of cash software on changing requirements of acquiring and the International Payment Systems. During implementation of ARCUS Solution all that is needed from the supplier of the cash solution - is just the «transit through cash desk». It gives the chance to save money and time.

It is necessary to notice that absence of the specialized centralized server - "the generalized terminal" that controls operating logic, pin-pad, interaction with cash and software processing allows reducing time and expenses for additional equipment installation and raise reliability of the system.

Unlike existing similar solutions, single program code of POS and pin-pad applications, single users’ interface that reflects business and technology requirements of the acquirer makes ARCUS Solution unified.
